A MILAM COUNTY EFFORT IS UNDERWAY TO JOIN THE DRIVE TO ASSIST A CAMERON WOMAN WHO WAS DEFRAUDED BY A CONTRACTOR WHO WAS INDICTED. 80-YEAR-OLD DIANE YATES PAID 60 THOUSAND DOLLARS TO A CONTRACTOR, BRANDON MYERS, FOR HOME RENOVATIONS LAST WINTER BUT THE RENOVATIONS WERE NEVER COMPLETED AND MYERS WAS INDICTED ON FRAUD CHARGES. ODES FOSTER WITH T & O SERVICES SAW A REPORT ABOUT YATES ON A TV NEWSCAST AND DECIDED TO STEP UP AND BUILD HER A BRAND-NEW HOME, A “BARNDOMINUM.” LOCAL RESIDENT CHARLES STARR, WHO LEADS SEVERAL FUNDRAISING DRIVES, HAS STEPPED FORWARD TO HELP AND INVITES OTHERS TO JOIN. ANYONE WISHING TO HELP BY MONETARY DONATIONS, SERVICES TO OFFER OR JUST WANTING TO HELP IS INVITED TO JOIN IN. Ceiling fans are in all the bedrooms light switches for the lights are going in all the plugs are going in thank you First Baptist Church of Cameron. The A/C vents are on thank you HSM TJ Hollingsworth. All the windows and most of the deck is done with handrails thank you guys with T&O’S.
